My promise
Having been selected to fight the next General Election for the Labour party in Swindon South, I promise to:
Live in Swindon: being accessible and visible to the electorate straight away
Campaign relentlessly on the issues that matter most to people: getting good, well paid jobs into the town, supporting people in their struggle against rising bills and diminishing incomes, fighting for timely, high quality health and care services and excellent schools and opportunities for young people
Support our Labour Council in Building a Better Swindon – delivering regeneration of the town centre, properly managed road works and 21st-century leisure facilities
Reach out across the town and the political divide: not being afraid to agree with political opponents when something is in the interest of Swindon but being brutally honest about Conservative failings
