I have just voted for Northbrook Park to win £6000 for new outdoor gym equipment and encourage you to do the same!
Allotments & the TA – all in Grove Park
Had a lovely hour or so at the Grove Park Summer Fair today. Managed to come home with a bag full of locally grown beetroot and half a dozen locally laid eggs (produce of the Grove Park allotments!). The allotment holders also gave me a really sweet marigold (see pic below) with some top advice about how to use marigolds to protect your tomato plants (I’ve put it into practice already!).

Trees for Northbrook Park
A lovely write-up in the South London Press today about the Northbrook Park tree-planting morning last week. I went along with Matt from my office and helped to plant a new forest of hazelnut trees.

A big thank you to everyone who voted in ITV’s People’s Millions last night – Northbrook Park won! I was really pleased to be asked by Michelle and her team to join them at Baring School for the results which were broadcast live on the 6 o’clock news.

Nature Reserve Peace Sculpture
It was a perfect summer’s afternoon for the unveiling of the new Peace Sculpture in the Grove Park Nature Reserve today. The sculpture , designed by local artist Heather Burrell, and paid for by a grant from the Lottery, can be seen from the train and is a great addition to this open space.
