/ An afternoon at Holy Cross Primary School
On Friday afternoon I visited Holy Cross Primary School in Catford to speak to their key stage 2 pupils about life as an MP. After speaking at their assembly I was asked questions that were definitely harder than Mr Cameron has to face at Prime Ministers Questions! They really did cut to the chase, asking questions from “what does your house look like?” to “do you get paid weekly or monthly?” and what were my plans for Bonfire Night. Like me, most of them were excited about the Blackheath fireworks! At the end of the assembly I was presented with an envelope of letters with questions from pupils in year 3 and what changes they would like to see from the Government. I also met with the School Councillors, some of whom will definitely make great politicians in the future!
I look forward to dealing with Holy Cross’s casework this week and hope to take them on a visit of Parliament soon where I’m sure they’ll have a lot more questions to ask me!
